Images of the Week 29/7/10

This Vanquish screen shot is nice and cool, whats better is the introduction of the casual mode where all you need to do is to aim at the enemy and the game will shot itself, great for enjoying the fast tempo actions if you're bad at macro.

Starcraft II, Hell Yeah... Its About Time!

"Hell.... its about time"

I can't believe that this thing has finally touchdown at my hands....! I was so happy last night that I couldn't really wait any longer to grab this game with my own hands. After its 1998 debut Starcraft I, here is its rightful successor StarCraft II : Wings of Liberty. I bought it from a lyn dealer for rm228... unfortunately I was too late and I miss out the freebies, however I was lucky enough to get the limited posters which is HUGE! =D and also its so funny that the dealer gives free condoms as an extra gift..........

A display which unsurprisingly avoids any hint that the store’s main line of business is selling rubber vaginas.
“m’s” itself is a chain of 8 sex toy and adult good emporia spread about Akihabara, Tokyo and beyond, including some of department store format.

Dakimakura Madness Plagues You!!

As seen above, it seems that this guy has been infected by the otaku disease that plagues Japan all the way back to his homeland. The terms "dakimakura" meaning "embracing pillows" which is quite common in households. But Japan has evolved them into something that they could proudly bring alongside them for a walk or as a companion outside their home. Actually I am much more amazed at how normal the reaction of that guy surroundings which doesn't seem to give a damn, I guess Americans are much more open minded that I thought.

OneManga has been put to rest (RIP)

A coalition of manga publishers have successfully forced top manga piracy site One Manga offline for good.
The site’s administration posted a statement detailing their decision:
It pains me to announce that this is the last week of manga reading on One Manga (!!). Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it.
We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site.

Captain America Will Change!!

Talking with The Los Angeles Times ahead of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, "Captain America: The First Avenger" director Joe Johnston says that his film will stay true to the comic up to a certain point.
Those changes will include downplaying the ra-ra patriotism of the comic - "We're sort of putting a slightly different spin on Steve Rogers. He's a guy that wants to serve his country but he's not a flag-waver. We're reinterpretating sort of what the comic book version of Steve Rogers was. He wants to serve his country, but he's not this sort of jingoistic American flag" says Johnston.
So what will his character be? "He's just a good person. We make a point of that in the script: Don't change who you are once you go from Steve Rogers to this super-soldier, you have to stay who you are inside, that's really what's important more than your strength and everything. It'll be interesting and fun to put a different spin on the character and one that the fans are really going to appreciate" he adds.
The news comes as two rather spectacular pieces of Comic Con art have hit featuring "Thor" and "Captain America", while a new shot from "Thor" shows off Chris Hemsworth in his character's human guise trying to retrieve his hammer.

This New SC2 Trailer is second to None!!

Makes me wonder why Blizzard doesn't want to make a movie... it would definitely sell!! lolz

Microsoft says Kinect doesn't like Skirts!

Microsoft’s upcoming motion controller Kinect has become the subject of ridicule for its inability to track the legs of people wearing skirts.
Those playing pre-release versions report beskirted women were unable to have their legs recognised.
Similar warnings about baggy clothing have also been circulating – it appears certain fashions simply have no place in the future of gaming.
Kinect has been confirmed by players as requiring wide open spaces of the sort only guaranteed in cavernous American homes, as being dependent on players remaining standing up for many games, and as being only able to actively track a few players at a time – although spectacular when working properly, just how much it can be relied upon to do this is a matter of some concern.

Well, I have a very small room anyways, and it doesn't seem that Kinect would work for me, so I'll vouch for Move ;-)

Zone Of Enders 3? It might turn up into reality!!

ZoE spawned two three sequels as well as two anime. The first title was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 with a Game Boy Advance version, Zone of the Enders: The First of Mars, following later that year. A proper sequel, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, came out in 2003.

Kojima has expressed interest in a third ZoE title, but said he was too busy with Metal Gear Solid 4. That game is done! Adding fuel to the ZoE speculation is the latest Metal Gear Solid Integral podcast, in which the following question was thrown out there: "How many people really want Zone of the Enders a sequel?"
Konami's Aki Saito added, "If there's so many people wanting to see Zone of the Enders, why not put the priority on top, a little further up, you know, but we just want to know."

Saito even encouraged listeners to "make sure you write your comments and we'll check your comments out."

Optimus Prime made in China using rubbishes

China never cease to amaze me with their talents, copying anything and everything possible in this world from gadgets to gigantic figures which truly defines China as no.1 in mastering the art of adaptation. This Optimus Prime is build to contest with the Japan famous 1/1 scale of Gundam which is recently being displayed again in shizuoka.

Best Moments of EVO 2010

via kotaku:

EVO, the annual fighting game world championships, draws thousands of players competing in six games. It has helped create gaming stars like 2010 Super Street Fighter IV champion Daigo Umehara, and a reputation for unbelievable game-play seen nowhere else.
Here's a look at some of our favorite videos from this year's throw-down.
This year's EVO took place the week of July 9 to July 11 with the Super Street Fighter IV tournament headlining the show. Tekken 6 was also present with its share of dramatic matches turned into miniature soap operas by the EVO announcers. While the grand finals of the tournament turned out to be a complete loss for Law and his man-handler Rip, their talents were at their most brutal in the Loser Finals against Mr. Naps shown below

Nightmare revisits photoshop

Well, I know most of you probably have seen worse, been trapped before, believing that the illusions posted on the net is true, and probably even feel victim to one of this scams. Today I shall introduce to you the probability scenarios that could come out from this picture:

1: Its a trap (meaning its a guy who photoshop himself as a girl)
2.If by any slim chances its a "she" then its inevitable that this is a product of some photoshop
3. The pictures are not modified by any means, the "girl" before and after is 2 different person (probably payed money to make this possible)
4. "She" went for plastic surgery
5. I'm pretty much 100% sure this is photoshop though, whenever you see images in small resolution, it means that it has been modified, why? because its that much simpler to modify small pictures so nobody knows it have been altered.... so don't get trapped guys/girls who often patron dating websites!

Poisonous Photoshopping.... The "Eye Burner"

I have seen a lot of photo-shopped images in my life, but this are truly some real mortifying images that could make a baby cry for nights

This Picture just totally Rocks!

Okay, not to be rude.... but I can't stop myself laughing at this resemblances LoL

Unbelievable "Paper" Made Gundam

At first when I was looking at this Freedom Gundam I was amazed by how good looking it is, then when I read on I discover that it was made from paper and I was like.... you kidding me?

At four-feet tall, this Freedom Gundam is the most impressive papercraft I've ever seen. That's right, this thing is made of paper.

The Gundam took 175 pages of paper, 500 parts and two months to build.

Tokyo Game Show is Holding up another Cosplay Event

The people who make the annual Tokyo Game Show happen are pulling out all the stops to boost attendance for the geeky game gathering. The latest tactic to draw more attendees? Even more cosplay and official fighting game tournaments.

Will you use These Condoms?

Ben Marsh's Play Condoms packaging, which aims to "create a desire to purchase the product for aesthetic reasons, rather than the necessity of condoms," promoting safe sex. Make sure to read the NSFW instruction manual. Seen via TinyCartridge.

I wonder if this kind of thing would actually put off some girls when they see their boyfriend carrying along such an "innocent" looking games. But I bet the boyfriend would probably laugh their ass off if their girlfriend give it as a present... lol

Guess who's the new Spiderman?

Andrew Garfield, the dandy man with web hairstyle will be replacing Tobey Maguire as the new Spiderman... well considering the news that the next Spiderman movie will return to its roots where our Peter Parker discovers his new superpower which lets him shoot his liquids from the palm of his hand and stick it anywhere at his whim. (sorry for the misleading vocabulary) . I for one not really a fan of Tobey Maguire as Spiderman.. well he just not that cool enough, but this man...... hmm I don't know, gives off an unique aura I should say? We shall see how it will turn out ^^
